There is one where you are required to enter control panel> system and security> system> advanced system settings> environment variables >new system variable, but there is no option there to browse to the license file. I tried following the ANSYS videos on youtube. Im not too familar with the command prompt but how do i do this if my first line of the prompt is 'C:>' and my ansys is in that exact same folder destination. I have tried editing the license file to change "HOSTID=DEMO" to "HOSTID = ", which then returns the error:Ħ 12:31:51: Did not upload file - Error: A correctly-formatted VENDOR line was not found in the license file. Old, expired, or obsolete STK license files should be removed from the machine to help avoid potential licensing conflicts. Please correct it manually before start/stop operation. Issues encountered while confirming license files have consistent values where required: Error: Hostname field in the license file is empty. 6 12:29:40: ansys_student_20171031.lic: Error: The second valid line of the license file must begin with either SERVER, VENDOR or INCREMENT. I run the license manager and it gives the message:Ħ 12:29:40: Attempting to start the license manager.
